SVM Synchronized Video Microscope

A unique video microscope for researchers

The SVM340 is a research-grade, inverted fluorescence video microscope for microfluidics and microbiology. With a synchronously pulsed illuminator, sensitive 30 frames per second (fps) camera, and powerful video analysis software, the SVM340 is a workhorse for microsystem research. And, it’s affordable enough to be dedicated to a single user or experiment.

Synchronous video microscope. Includes control and acquisition software, RS-170-BW camera module, LED-B illuminator module, 10X objective, and motorized X-Y focus traverse stage. Includes choice of PCI video capture card or USB video adapter.

High quality experiment data

The SVM340 microscope excels precisely where it counts: generating high-quality experimental data. Bottom-up viewing and a motinoless stage ensure that your microsystem remains unperturbed during viewing. Auto-acquisition, autofocus, time lapse capability, and lossless recording to disk ensure that you can capture elusive events with reliable fidelity. Motorized traverse and focus, and software-configurable image-based “soft triggers” make the SVM340 perfect for µTAS prototypes and miniature process automation.

Compact and affordable

The SVM340 is small (just 21 cm wide x 27 cm long x 9 cm tall) but scans up to 75 mm x 50 mm. Compact, and costing thousands of dollars less than competing systems, the SVM340 is the ideal tool for micro-and nano-system research.

Particle counting probes

Particle Counting Probes for the SVM340 let you count and characterize particles in real-time, at up to 5000 particles/frame. Characterize particles from sub-micron through hundreds of microns in diameter based on absorption, scattering, refraction or fluorescence. What’s more, you can use the results to monitor and control your experiment as it happens.

Applications include real-time sensor for microfluidic particle sorters and manipulators, step-and-scan culture characterization, powder particle size and shape quantitation, etc.

New Particle Counting Probes let you count and characterize particles in real-time, up to 5000 particles/frame. Characterize particles from sub-micron through hundreds of microns in diameter based on absorption, scattering, refraction or fluorescence. You can then use the results to monitor and control your experiment as it happens.
