LSPR Sensor for Inflammatory Biomarker Detection

Localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) sensor integrated automated microfluidic system for multiplex inflammatory biomarker detection

Jhih-Siang Chen et al October 22, 2021

A localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) sensor enables continuous and dynamic inflammatory biomarker detection, we utilized  to perform label-free molecule sensing. The small LSPR sensing mechanism simplifies optical setup and can be easily integrated with a microfluidic device.  An automated microfluidic control system was developed to control reagent guiding and switching in the immunoassay with less manual processes and potential operation errors. The LSPR sensor integrated automated microfluidic control system could perform rapid, multiplex, and multi-parallel continuous inflammatory biomarker detection, which would be beneficial for various applications, such as immune status monitoring, diagnosis and prognosis of inflammatory diseases.
